Stephen Lonie (Chairman), BCom MBA CA FFin FAICD FIMCA

Independent Non-Executive Director - appointed 24 April 2010.

Mr Lonie joined the Board as Chairman in April 2010. Mr Lonie is a Chartered Accountant and a former partner of the international accounting and consulting firm KPMG. He now practices as an independent management consultant. He is also currently Chairman of electricity generator CS Energy Ltd and Central Queensland mining group, Jellinbah Group Pty Ltd.

Mr Lonie holds the following qualifications: Bachelor of Commerce; Professional Year, Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia; Master of Business Administration; Graduate Diploma, Financial Services Institute of Australasia; and Financial Management Programme, Harvard Business School.

Mr Lonie is an Associate with the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and with the Australian Institute of Management. Mr Lonie is a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants of Australia, the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. He also is a Member of the Economic Society of Australia and the Australian Computer Society.

Ross A. Illingworth GAICD CFP BBus HR Deakin

Independent, Non-Executive Director since January 2009.

Mr Illingworth joined the Board in January 2009 and was appointed Chairman of the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee.

Mr Illingworth is Chief Investment Officer & Executive Director of Carnbrea & Co. Limited. He is non-executive Director of The Sir Robert Menzies Memorial Foundation Ltd and a member of its Investment Committee. He is also a non-executive Director of Arthritis Victoria and a member of its Audit & Investment Committee.

Bradford V.R. Beasley LL.B. (Hons)
Non-Executive Director since 1999.

Mr Beasley is a partner of the Rockhampton firm of Solicitors, South & Geldard, and he has acted as Solicitor to The Rock for over 20 years. Mr Beasley is also Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Rockhampton Grammar School, and is Chairman of The Rock's Credit Committee. 

Rod Davies F Fin MAICD
Independent, Non-Executive Director - appointed 1 March 2010.

Mr Davies joined the Board in March 2010. Mr Davies held executive management positions at Suncorp Metway Limited where he accrued 21 years of service. Mr Davies has extensive business experience in the banking sector. He has previously been a director of Suncorp Financial Planning Pty Ltd, Metway Star Limited, Graham & Company Limited, and LJ Hooker Corporate Limited.

Derek Lightfoot BCom FCA FFin GAICD

Managing Director since 2007.

Mr Lightfoot joined The Rock in February 2005 as Chief Financial Officer and was appointed as Chief Executive Officer in June 2006. He was then appointed to the role of Managing Director in November 2007. Previous to Mr Lightfoot's appointments with The Rock, he accrued 10 years’ experience with KPMG in Brisbane and London, specialising in the banking and finance industry. Mr Lightfoot also spent eight years with a regional financial institution in senior management positions including Internal Computer Auditor, Head of Operations, Head of Information Technology and Head of Business Services.  Mr Lightfoot's most recent position before taking up his role with The Rock was with Brisbane City Council as Executive Manager Customer Service.

Mr Lightfoot holds a Bachelor of Commerce, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia and is a Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
