Two iconic central Queensland institutions have joined forces today with The Rock today announcing a new partnership with the Central Queensland Capras.
The Rock will join the Capras as the official banking partner for the 2016 season and will also provide support to junior and community programs.
Central Queensland Capras Operations Manager Brendan Bowers said the Capras are very excited by the partnership.
“We are very excited by the potential of this partnership,” said Mr Bowers.
“Like the Central Queensland Capras, The Rock are very focused on doing what we can in the community we live in and engaging with the people of Central Queensland.
“This partnership will provide the Capras with the ability to strengthen our community programs and provides educational and sporting opportunities to children throughout central Queensland.”
The Rock’s Chief Executive Officer, Paul Herbert said he is looking forward to working with the Capras.
“The Capras, like The Rock are a big part of the Central Queensland community and a partnership with a local sporting team such as the Capras provides us with another avenue through which we can engage with our local community,” said Mr Herbert.
“We are particularly excited to be providing support to the Capras’ Cyril Connell Cup and Mal Meninga Cup teams.
“The Rock have been a sponsor of the CQ NRL Bid Junior Development Program for a number of years and we see this as the next step in helping these young players achieve their NRL dreams.
“We have already started planning many exciting initiatives for the season ahead including a junior player of the round.
“Everyone at The Rock is very much looking forward to working with the Capras to make each home match the game day experience the best it can be.”
