A stunning exhibition showcasing works by award-winning local artist Andrea Chapman drew an impressive crowd at to The Rock’s Rockhampton branch on Friday, 2 September.
The Rockhampton art exhibition featured a number of paintings by Mrs Chapman, whose unique style won her the best overall painting award at the 39th Annual Blackwater Art Exhibition and Competition in 2015.
Rockhampton’s Branch Manager Donna James was pleased to support local artists, providing them with the opportunity to share their creative ability and offer their work for sale.
“We were delighted to showcase the local talent within our community, and have been particularly impressed by the works of Andrea Chapman,” said Ms James.
Mrs Chapman is well known in the Queensland artistic community for her visual depiction of Australiana, endeavouring to capture emotions and experience in her paintings.
The Rock’s Emerald branch is set to host a second exhibition on the Friday, 9 September showcasing works from artists Rosie Dickens, and Gerda Dickfos.
